At the Blue Gum Centre for Psychology and Psychotherapy, we understand that mental health struggles can be complex and unique to each individual. While we work with a range of mental health conditions listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual-5 (DSM-5), we don't rely solely on diagnosis to guide our approach.
Nevertheless, we've listed the DSM-5 disorders we can work with, as eligibility for Medicare rebates is based on these diagnoses. We acknowledge the need for reworking some of the problematic and outdated terms and categories (e.g. personality disorder and ASD).

It's common to have difficulties in several areas of mental health. While we're not experts in eating disorders, sleep disorders, dissociative disorders, or sexual dysfunction, we are often able to address these issues successfully when they co-occur with other problems. For example, people with BPD may experience difficulties with eating, while those with depression may struggle with sleep.
